ST. CHARLES — The city of St. Charles has lifted a boil advisory after determining the water is safe for consumption.
Authorities on Tuesday issued the advisory for residents north of Interstate 70 and south of Highway 370 after a large water main break on Cole Boulevard.
On Wednesday, city officials said on social media that water samples turned up negative for contamination and said it was safe to consume without boiling.
Those north of I-70 and south of Highway 370 are advised to boil their drinking water until further notice, city officials said.
