All-Metro girls lacrosse first team
Colette Brennan, sophomore, Ladue
Helped the Rams to a stellar season. She was selected as an all-state and all-conference defender as part of a back line that helped Ladue stay unbeaten until falling in the state quarterfinals.

Mia Fernandez, senior, Eureka
Anchored back line for the Wildcats on the way to their first state championship. Garnered first-team all-state and all-conference honors while leading a defense that surrendered an average of just 5.5 goals per game.
Ava Goldson, senior, MICDS
Racked up All-American, all-state first team and Metro League player of the year selections in helping Rams to state runner-up finish. Attacker led area scoring race with 126 points, including 91 assists, just one short of area single-season record.
Maddie Gregston, senior, Summit
Key cog in Falcons’ run to No. 3 seed and a quarterfinal appearance in state tournament. The midfielder scored 48 goals and compiled 63 points to earn an All-American selection, as well as first team all-state and all-conference nods.
Caroline Koman, junior, MICDS
Attacker had a dominant season for state runner-up Rams. Led the area with 86 goals and ranked fifth with 105 points to earn a spot on the All-American squad, along with first team all-state and all-conference honors.
Marin Lally, junior, Marquette
Led Mustangs squad to state semifinals as a sixth seed. Midfielder ranked third in area with 79 goals and tied for third in points with 105 to earn an All-American selection along with first team all-state and all-conference honors.
Rachel Livak, senior, Parkway West
Another strong spring in goal for the Longhorns. Posted 12-4 record and 7.68 goals against average while making an area-best 177 saves as she was named an All-American as well as a first-team all-state and all-conference goalie.
Ella Lowry, senior, Wentzville
The 2023 All-Metro player of the year and three-time all-state midfielder tallied 44 goals and 51 points in only 10 games. Averaged 5.3 draw controls, 3.8 groundballs and caused 3.2 turnovers per game and had seven interceptions.
Reese Rafferty, sophomore, John Burroughs
Followed a fantastic freshman campaign with a strong sophomore season. The attacker tallied 74 goals, which was fifth in the area, and amassed 101 points to nab All-American and first-team all-state and all-conference selections.
Margaret Schnieders, senior, Summit
Backbone of a strong Falcons defense. She led the area with 72 groundballs and was sixth in caused turnovers with 37 to claim spot on the first-team all-state and all-conference squads, along with earning an all-academic nod.
Makenzie Van Bree, senior, Cor Jesu
Van Bree had a memorable final campaign for the Chargers. She set new school season records with 70 goals and 131 draw controls and captured first-team all-state and Girls Independent Schools League player of the year honors.
All-Metro girls lacrosse second team
Josie Ciaramita, freshman, MICDS
Burst onto the scene by scoring 69 goals in impressive rookie campaign, which ranked ninth in the area, and compiling 81 points to help Rams advance to the state championship game.
Ruby Copeland, junior, Eureka
Poured in 60 goals and tallied 85 points to finish second in both categories to All-Metro player of the year Kylee Pickens to help lead Wildcats to their first state title.
Vicky Derdoy, sophomore, Ladue
Nabbed honorable mention and first team all-conference honors. Was second in area in groundballs per game (4.6) and fifth in caused turnovers (42) for a one-loss Rams squad.
Gracie Favela, junior, O’Fallon
Scored 65 goals and finished ninth in area scoring race with 89 points in racking up honorable mention all-state honors after helping Panthers to Illinois sectional final.
Natalia Fletcher, junior, Francis Howell
Garnered first team all-state and all-conference nods among goalies after compiling eight wins, an 11.01 goals against average and 119 saves for the Vikings.
Maddie Gibson, senior, Summit
Falcons career leader in assists became a bigger offensive threat by not only leading team in assists (28) but also tying for second on squad in goals with 34, doubling her previous season high.
Janie Jackson, junior, St. Joseph’s
Earned first team all-state and all-conference selections after compiling 50 goals, 71 points, 71 groundballs and 100 draw controls from her midfield spot.
Sydney Kronauge, sophomore, Marquette
Big part of attack for state semifinalist Mustangs by scoring 47 goals and amassing 56 points to claim spots on honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference squads.
Amelia Mackin, sophomore, MICDS
One of four Rams named to the all-state first team and one of five on the all-conference first team after notching 37 goals, 134 draw controls (third in the area) and 71 groundballs (tied for second).
Mame Slinkard, senior, Cor Jesu
Heart of the defense for the Chargers, who earned the state tournament’s No. 5 seed, as she racked up team-leading 22 turnovers caused to claim first-team all-state and all-conference selections.
Rosalie Tasker, senior, John Burroughs
Tasker picked up first-team honors on both the all-state and all-conference squads after pouring in 56 goals and compiling 73 points for team that earned third place in the tournament.
All-Metro girls lacrosse third team
Maria Anderson, senior, Summit
Contributed both on offensive and defensive ends for the Falcons, as her 61 points and 48 draw controls were both in the top 25 of area players, while her 60 ground balls ranked in the top 15.
Katy Chapman, sophomore, John Burroughs
A first team all-conference midfielder for third-place Bombers after consistent total of 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points. Also claimed team-leading 71 draw controls.
Bella Elpers, junior, St. Joseph’s
Shined in classroom as all-academic selection and on the field as honorable mention all-state and first-team all-conference pick after scoring 50 goals and amassing 60 points.
Molly Fesler, sophomore, Visitation
Picked up honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference nods after notching 41 goals and 47 points this season for team that was No. 8 seed in state tournament.
Cate Figge, sophomore, Cor Jesu
Scored 48 goals and added 39 assists for 87 points to place the attacker 10th in area scoring race and earn her first-team selections on the all-state and all-conference squads.
Rosie Grebe, junior, Lindbergh
Snagged first team all-conference honors from her defender spot after racking up double digits in goals (10), groundballs (19), turnovers caused (10) and draw controls (14).
Sahana Madala, senior, John Burroughs
Named to all-academic squad along with being first team all-conference goalie after backstopping Bombers to third in state with 13 wins, a 9.43 goals against average and 137 saves.
Emma Miller, senior, Visitation
Honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference midfielder following campaign in which she scored 44 goals and compiled 54 points for the Vivettes.
Yael Sabin, junior, Ladue
Led a strong Rams attack with 69 goals and 84 points to nab a spot on the honorable mention all-state and all-conference first team squads.
Brooke Samuelson, sophomore, Eureka
A big part of the Wildcats’ run to their first state championship as a two-way midfielder who contributed 34 goals, 69 draw controls, 45 groundballs and 24 turnovers caused.
Katie Smyka, senior, Northwest
Posted yet another strong campaign with 76 goals, fourth in the area, and 99 points, which was eighth in area scoring race to earn honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference selections.
